Monday’s Top 5

I spend more time reading blog posts than I do writing them. For the most part, they are interesting, entertaining, and often amusiong. (Otherwise I wouldn’t read them.) In the spirit of sharing, I’ve decided to share my Top 5 posts of the week with you each Monday. I hope you get as much enjoyment from them as I have.

Janice Hardy had a great week on The Other Side of the Story, with a number of posts that I enjoyed. The one I found most useful overall is an article on how to distill your novel into a one line summary. 

Alan Baxter wrote a post entitled Other Writers are Not Your Enemy. Although I thought this went without saying, Alan expresses his opinion (and his reasons for writing the piece) beautifully.

Laura Stanfill started a great conversation when she blogged about Prostitution and writing what you don’t know. Her post is interesting in itself, but do yourself a service and read the discussion that followed as well.

On a more light-hearted note, Janet Reid suggested that if you’re suffering from writer’s block, you can head here and type a few key words into the search box for an instant solution to your plotting problems.
